Anyone have favorite restaurant near the embarcadero?

doesn't have to be late nite

the only things I know of are PHO HOA on drumm & the semi-new Pancho villa taqueria on the embarcadero.

everything else closes at 5, is crappy and/or overpriced (almost everything in the embarcadero malls)

thx

Hi Boys and Girls,

I have some bigs news to share.
Last week me and some friends opened a new bar/lounge in the Mission.
We are really proud of it as we have been working on it for the last 10 months.
I would love to hear your honest feedback on it, so please stop by and let me know what you like and dislike.

I am writing on this tribe as we also have some food: Indian Tapas in particular.
And we will be open for brunch soon. And we serve food late.

More info can be found here:
www.bollyhoodcafe.com

If you are looking for something different to do for NYE, we will have a NYE party joining forces with Baobab and Bissap:
www.bissapbaobab.com
www.bollyhoodcafe.com/news.html
Definitely a different party with a strong ethnic vibe/music and food.

El Farolito (Mission at 24th Street, SF)

Occassionally the busiest Taqueria in town, El Farolito sports a nice selection of tasty Mexican flavors all in one little spot.

Everyone from local merchants, construction workers, and late-night urban hipsters pack this place every day from morning 'til late night sampling the consistently delicious fare.

Open Sunday through Thursday till 2:45 AM. Fridays and Saturdays till 3:45 AM.

Highly recommended: Al pastor (burritos, tacos, tortas, nachos, quesadillas, etc.), Carnitas and Carne Asada are also a cut above the other Mission District taquerias.

El Farolito is one of maybe 3 spots in the city where I eat my favorite barbacued pork. I've been to Mexico City and Tijuana and numerous towns in Mexico where I've had terrific pork dishes. El Farolito stands up to some of my favorite places south of the border.

Did I mention that they also have kick-ass Agua Frescas? Batches of Horchata, Strawberry, and Cantalope (Melon) agua frescas are prepared fresh daily.

But don't take my word for it. Head on over to the Mission and tell me what you think! :)

Reviews of El Farolito on Tribe.net:
1941 South El Camino Real
San Mateo, CA 94403
Open 24 hours daily

---

Offers your standard American / diner fare (burgers, tuna melt, chicken fried steak, etc.) and, as the name suggests, a variety of pies. (Rhubarb! What the hell is rhubarb exactly, anyway? I don't know, but I like to run around shouting "rhubarb!" very excitedly!)

Not exactly wee hours haute cuisine, but at least it's not Denny's.

Easy access to/from Highway 92, it's about a block south of the exit.

The Grubstake (Pine at Polk, SF)

Open till 4am and located on Pine street, which many San Franciscans take home after work, The Grubstake is convenient for those who want a tasty bite to eat before going home.

Grubstake combines diner fare with the occasional Pasta dishes. Don't forget the last page of the menu, aptly titled "The Portuguese Corner" which features the delicious (and healthy) Caldo Verde soup made from kale.

I think I've tried everything on the menu at one time or another. It's a favorite late-night hangout for lots of people, ranging from loud obnoxious Marina Chicks recently emerged from the Polk Street bars, yuppie guys surrounding the Marina Chicks named Chet, Chad, Bret, Brad, or Steve, jazz musicians and bartenders getting off work, and local pimps and their girls.

http://www.sfgrubstake.com

Safety equipment:
Bring earplugs with you just in case the place is overrun with loud Marina chicks. "Like, Oh-myGOD!!!" :)

Located in the heart of North Beach and open during normal hours too, Buster's gets a lot of Late Night business with all the bars/cafes in the area.

Serving burgers/cheesesteaks/pizza till the wee hours (usually 2am, although I've seen it stay open till after 3am a few weekends)...

Haven't tried their pizzas, but their fries are pretty good. Crispy like the McDonald's fries used to be, but with the right amount of salt.

Cheese steaks are good. Burgers are decent. It's nothing mindblowing, but then again, what can you really expect at a joint that's open so late?

Much better alternative than the not-enough-sauce pizzas at Cable Car Pizza and the mediocre food at New Sun Hong Kong and the barely-edible-mush at Yuet Lee. The combo pho and the 5-spice chicken at Vietnam 1 still trump the lousy NB options...

Cafe Mason (Mason at O'Farrell, SF)

A brief review:

Cafe Mason, located between O'Farrell and Ellis on Mason Street is one of those late-night spots I frequent when I'm not at El Farolito or Grubstake, or cooking Linguica and Eggs at home in the Avenues.

The food: quality home-cooked fare, breakfast and lunch being their specialities. You can order most of the menu items during late night. Pastas are unavailable after 3am.

I highly recommend: the Shrimp and Crab Melt, the Papardelle alla Bolognese, the Fresh Fruit Platter or Bowl of Fresh Fruit, The Cheese Steak Sandwich, and the Salmon Fettucini. Their coffee is good there unless you're one of those coffee snobs that can't drink 99% of the coffee out there.

Service: Great on weekdays and weekends during the day. Slightly-less-great on busy weekend nights. I've never had bad service there, but then again I usually grab a bite to eat when it's not too busy. Early morning is a nice time to check out Cafe Mason.

Hours: 24 Hours a day. Perfect for everyone!

Prices: Cafe Mason menu items cost more than usual for diner fare, but then again it's much better quality than the average diner. Miserably cheap people would be better served elsewhere (read: donut shop).

Music: Jukebox (mostly rock). Wide selection. Even a jazz cat like me was able to find one album to my liking: a jazz compilation featuring the song "II B.S." by Charles Mingus :)

Food: ****
Service: ***
Value: ***
Hours: ****

Bon Appetit! :)

Pizzelle (Columbus at Broadway, SF)

Staying open till 4am some nights, Pizzelle is usually the last restaurant left standing that offers a late night bite to eat.

The slices are usually above average to pretty darn good..

If you can get there early (before the changeover to pizza-by-the-slice around 10pm), you can order off their whole menu, which includes excellent pasta dishes and traditional-style Italian cuisine

Phone orders/delivery available 415.398.3555

314 Columbus (at Broadway)

2006-09-11 Update:

Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to give Yuet Lee another try. (2:50 AM)

I ordered something easy, Black Bean Sauce Beef Chow Fun, and surprise surprise it turned out great. Great flavor with an added kick of spicy black/white pepper flavor that I did not expect. Yum.

The noodles and sauce were perfect, as was the proportion of beef/veggies-to-noodles. They also brought me out a small eating bowl so I didn't have to pick it up off the plates like the tourists.

Open really late, till after 3 most nights:

Average to above average fare. Service can range from poor to great, depending on when you show up.

As is the case with most Asian eateries, the earlier you go, the better the food and service. This place rocks during lunch and dinner hours and is consistantly inconsistant during the wee hours. Can we blame them?

One redeeming factor is that you can get clams with black bean sauce at 2am...

2006-09-09:

Update: Calzone's is apparently open those late hours during the weekends, which include the occasional Thursday.

Their mussels and fries are pretty good. The mussels come with llnguica and tomatoes and the fries are crispy.

The jury's still out on their pizzas. Some people love 'em. Others don't.

Cafe culture is thriving in the San Francisco bay area. We are presently looking for some people to volunteer to review and write about cafes in San Francisco for TheCafeGuide www.thecafeguide.com the world's leading online cafe community.

If you either live in the area or are planning to travel to this city and are knowledgeable about cafes. If you have a passion for coffee, tea or both then I would be interested in hearing from you, please write me at richard@thecafeguide.com

Cheers,

I've found this list: http://sanfrancisco.citysearch.com/search?cw3=24&flavor_id=2&constrained=1&started=1

and I'm sure there's a smattering of people's top tens and whatnot all over the web, so let's gather them all in one place shall we? I've already looked over the lists posted in here, but there do seem to be an awful lot of restaurant-finding sites on the oueb, and yet I still can't find a decent steak at 3am. And what if I just really need eggs benedict at midnight, hmm? WAP friendly sites preferred.

On a related note -- anyone with some web expertise who'd like to collaborate on a site? If I can't find anything that really provides what I need then damnit, I'm going to make it myself. Who's with me?

My business partner (and one of my best friends)
like to work late and we like to work at cafes online.
We usually end up at Canvas and the staff there
are really cool about us hanging out til late
but even they have to go home at some point.

Does anyone know of a late night spot
that has free WiFi?
(-or even a place where we can
sneak a signal...)

Redwood City IHOP now open 24 hours!!

THIS IS ESPECIALLY GOOD NEWS BECAUSE YOU SEE DENNY'S WAFFLES ARE MEDIOCRE AT BEST, AND THE DENNY'S IN REDWOOD CITY IS SUB-PAR, MEANING THAT THEIR WAFFLES ARE SUB-MEDIOCRE, WHICH IS PRETTY SAD.

BUT NOW OH HAPPY DAY THE IHOP JUST NORTH OF THE WHIPPLE ROAD EXIT, WELL THEY ARE NOW A 24-HOUR ESTABLISHMENT, AND SINCE THEY ARE WAFFLE PROS, THIS MEANS THAT THEIR WAFFLES WILL BE ABOVE MEDIOCRE, EVEN GOOD!

any leads?
my ideal: i want to sit out and dine late on the sidewalk (not in the gutter), white tablecloth, with some kind of ambiance, view, superb wine list and service...an all night affair. I want to bask in the energy, the pulse of the night while sampling a tabletop buffet of goodies...otherwise, I could go for the usual grilled cheese sandwiches and a milkshake

Because, as much as you might think you're going to try to avoid it, you're gonna wind up at Denny's one of these crazy nights, so here's my humble opinion about the Peninsula's Denny's:

Redwood City: BAD, bad service, orders get messed up, coke's flat, one time they accidentally charged me $25, after taking 30 min. to make my goddamned waffles!! They need a better manager!

San Mateo: good

South San Francisco: very good

Palo Alto: good

Hayward: not so good

SF Japantown: good

SF Mission SOMA: very good

Request: Banh mi after dark?

I'm thinking this is something of a hopeless cause, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that serves banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) during late-night hours? (er, after 10pm... 'Bay Area late')

Most of the places in the East Bay (Cam Huong, Banh Mi Ba Le, etc.) do the majority of their business in the mornings and afternoons and tend to close up shop by 6pm. A few places (Huong Tra in Richmond, Saigon Express in Berkeley) which close at 9 or 10pm will serve them if they have any of those crusty French rolls left.

I have noticed that banh mi (or something like them) are on the menu at Music Tunnel KTV (Pacific East Mall in Richmond / El Cerrito) who are open until 4am, but that's only useful if they still have them that night, (they may not) and of course if you're already there doing karaoke.

So... what's the scoop? Am I simply SOL on this one or is there some little slice of fish sauce-flavored heaven I've been overlooking here in the Bay Area?

I think I went there at 1:30.

choice between tasty curry and naan and curry, went to naan ( listen, i know tasty is better. needed the nostalgia factor, and honestly, naan's naan is bigger and chewier) it wasnt so bad. n&c is great when there isnt a crowd, made it "punjabi" style like i asked for, finally ( most indian places dont fulfill your wishes in that department when you want en fuego) the reason i mention is because curry is the only food that matters to me at this point, and i know there are others out there like this, who might want something different than thai style at these hours. this is as late as it gets.....

Hot Pot City
500 Barber Lane (237 @ McCarthy Rd, South side of the 237)
Milpitas, 95035 (so you can Mapquest it)

If you have never been, you absolutely MUST go to the only place I know of in the South Bay for a late night Asian BBQ feeding frenzy! This place has everything! If you have never had Hot Pot, imagine a little Mongolian BBQ grill, right at your own table, plus a boiling pot of water to cook whatever you want. And the buffet is obscene! They have 4-5 varieties of meat, with and without marinades, plus more seafood than I can even identify. You get to concoct your own sauce from about 20 different ingredients. Tons of exotic veggies to grill up alongside your main course, plus they usually have sushi, too, and host of nifty tapiocas and yummy desserts...

Are you ready for the best part?!?!

If you go after 10pm, it's cheaper! Same food, but less $ than the regular dinner prices.

Late night prices (as of last winter):
Sun - Thurs: $8.99
Fri - Sat: $10.99
(before 10pm it's $3-4 more)
Soda is included, but they sell Tsing-tao and other beer, too

Of course they do lunch, too, but, yada, yada, yada...

A friend of mine said, since you get to cook plates of raw animal meat and seafood yourself, at your very own fire, at your table, after spearing it from the mountainous buffet, that this is the closest you come to civilized hunting and gathering in the 21st century...

Looks like I've been ignorant for a while. Tried to go to Koreana Plaza at 4:30am and the place was closed. They used to be open 24 hours a day, but there was a sign out that said that beginning 5/30/2005 they will be open only from 5am to 2am.

......

5/30/2005??? Where have I been?? I could have sworn I tried to go to that market between those hours more recently than that... And I wonder what the significance of closing the market for only three hours is. There were clearly workers inside, complete with a security guy sleeping soundly in front of the doors.

I got my cup ramen eventually.

Me (and a bunch of other folks) are looking for a place on University Avenue which is open at least until 1am, has meals, is inexpensive (Cheesecake Factory is too expensive for many in the crowd), and can handle getting a bunch of people a little past midnight on Friday night (Saturday 12:10 am) without taking forever to get through everyone.

Suggestions?

---

Wandered by this place late the other night and noticed 1) they were still open and 2) they had a banner outside proudly stating that they serve Kyushu-style ramen.

A little Googling seems to indicate it's an izakaya (Japanese pub) style restaurant, apparently Taiwanese owned and operated. I'm thinking this may be a good candidate for a BA Late Night Dining event. Any other takers?

Monday - Thursday 11:00am-10:00pm
Friday 11:00am-11:00pm
Saturday 10:00am-11:00pm
Sunday 10:00am-10:00pm

---

Barely makes the late-night cut, but they're open until 11pm on weekends so I'll figured I'd mention it.

Decent Cal-Mex, (though honestly, the heat level has never lived up to its name) nice aguas frescas and vegan/vegetarian options on offer, but it gets nutso in the evenings when every aging Berkeley hippie and their screaming children descends upon the place. The echoey interior doesn't help.

I used to go here for lunch sometimes when I worked in Berkeley and the rajas burrito (w/roasted poblano peppers and onions) was a fave. But that was back before I became a born-again carnivore and got hip to the Oakland taco truck scene.

The Patio
2525 Dwight Way
Berkeley, CA 94704
8am - 2am

---

Don't know much about this place but spotted it last night while out on a hike along Telegraph. It's in the building that used to be Kim's Super Burrito. (Korean-Mexican not-exactly-fusion cusine... and “Super Hashbrown”) Seems to serve sandwiches, beers, normal stuff like that. I recall vegetarian options on offer.

2068 University Avenue
Berkeley, CA 94704
510.883.0667

Mon-Sat: 11:30am - 11:00pm
sunday: 11:30am - 10:00pm

---

I'm actually more of a fan of soba than ramen, but I've eaten here a few times and it's been fairly consistent, tho' the broth leaves me somewhat underwhelmed (everyone else seems to rave about it tho', maybe I'm missing something or have always hit it on off days?) and I find it a bit on the pricey side considering what it is. Mugicha (barley tea) is served standard, a small selection of beer and sodas is also available.

I thought I'd share another late night place that is truly open late. It's La Pinata, a Mexican restaurant, which has several locations in the East Bay including Hayward, the original one, Alameda, San Leandro, Fremont, and Newark. It's open til 3am at three of the locations which include Alameda, Hayward, and San Leandro. By the way, a couple of the restaurants have Tequila bars too.

Had midday dim sum here recently and found it decent, though not exceptional. Service was a bit lacking, but that may have just been me getting 'the gwei lo treatment'. Then again, I went with a Chinese-American friend of mine and the waitstaff seemed to take my request for chow fun with XO sauce more seriously than his, so who knows.

From what I can tell it appears they switch to serving dim sum and hot pots exclusively after 11pm, and close at 2am. (at least on weekends, think it's until midnight on weekdays)

Here's some late night eats in SF Proper:

Vietnam I Restaurant (Broadway betw/ Stockton & Columbus)
Excellent five-spice chicken, Imperial Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, and Combination Pho. Traditional French-press Vietnamese coffee available.
* Open till 3 AM

The Grubstake (Pine betw/ Polk & Van Ness)
Great short order menu including burgers, fries, and tasty omelettes. Their Portugeuse selections are highly recommended!
* Open till 4 AM

Lucky Penny (Masonic @ Geary)
Comprehensive menu that's pretty consistant 24-hours a day. Their fries and barbacue beef sandwich are excellent.
* Open 24 hours

El Farolito (Mission @ 24th Street)
Delicious tacos and burritos. I especially recommend the Al Pastor and Carne Asada. Plus, they have one of the best melon agua frescas in town. Bar with pool tables just next door! :)
* Open till 3 AM

It's Tops (Market @ McCoppin)
My favorite vintage diner. Great diner food, including yummy breakfasts, burgers and fries, and the best pancakes I've ever eaten. Try the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger or their peanut butter pancakes! Great place to go after dinner and dancing.
* Open till 3 (or 4?)

Enjoy! :)

(As also posted in the "pho?" thread...)

Whoo-hoo! It's Friday night and I'm hungry! I just called New Pagolac and they say they're open "until about 11". (maybe later if there's karaoke, bring earplugs... you'll need them)

Impromptu East Bay Late Night Dining Tribe meetup in da' house! Justin and I and whoever else we pick up along the way are meeting up there about 10pm.

Come one, come all... come for the pho, come for the drinks with little tapioca balls. (Actually, I'm not even sure if they have those. But they do have a durian smoothie. PHEAR!)

I'll be impossible to miss, likely being the only white person in the place, and most certainly the only one wearing a sportcoat.

831 International Blvd

---

WHAT: The Bay Area Late Night Dining Tribe (East Bay Splinter Faction reprazentin', yo...) Semi-Official Event Number Two!

WHEN: Friday March 4th, 2005, 8:30pm

WHERE: New Pagolac Vietnamese Restaurant in Oakland

WHO: Are you reading this? Live in the East Bay? Have a $10 bill in your pocket and nothing better do do?

WHY: Because I'm going to be hungry. Hopefully you will be, too.

---

In keeping with the general spirt of late night lameness in the Bay Area, I'm saying we should meet around 8:30pm. (they *are* open until about 11:30pm tho'.) Maybe next time we can actually shoot for having a meetup after 10pm, but this week I'm lame. Fukkit.
If anyone has any questions or gets lost, ring me on my mobile @ 510.499.9208. Good possibility that if more than 1 person shows up other after-dinner hijinks will ensue.

Consider yourself warned about the 180 dB Vietnamese karaoke. Bring earplugs.

Free delivery of pizza, pasta, calzones, salads, sandwiches, etc. 24-hours a day.

I'm not sure how consistent they are from location to loacation, but when I used to live in Oakland I ordered pizza from them a couple of times and found it as good as, if not better than, many of the non-late night options available around there. (Piedmont / Lake Merritt area)

But what are the best Korean restaurants in Oakland (there's that ig strip on Telegraph, and then a few in my hood around the lake). Which ones are cook your own?

I went to "Korean" BBQs when I was thailand- not very Korean, but still yummy. They're the Thai version of all you can eat buffets. Missing the heaps of meat on my plate!

Thanks!

Thai Noodle (Berkeley, CA)

1936 Shattuck Ave
Berkeley, CA 94704
510.848.6531

11am-1:30am daily

---

No frills hole-in-the wall offers all the standards you'd expect as well as a bulletin board spilling over with dozens of specials not listed on the menu. (They never seem to change them, just add to them occasionally)

Impossible to miss after dark, just look for the garish purple and pink neon in the window.

Close to Fruitvale BART and the Fruitvale exit off Highway 880, this taco truck not only serves yummy late night tacos al pastor, but is also convenient as well! Located on International Blvd in Oakland, check out Gordo for late night bites!

Highly recommended:
Tacos asada
Tacos al pastor
Carnitas

Mmmmm!!!

East Bay: Casino San Pablo

The Broiler restaurant at Casino San Pablo
13255 San Pablo Ave
San Pablo, CA 94806
510.215.7888

24 hours daily (?)

---

The Broiler, proper, serves somewhat more formal fare, but grab a table with big, cushy chairs out front and you'll get the short-order menu of Continental, American and Chinese favorites.

Their wonton noodle soup is satisfying and not overly starchy and the price is right at $5. Also recommended is the Singapore style vermicelli (bee hoon) which turned out to be one of the closest I've found so far in the Bay Area to the way it's actually made in Singapore. (Must remember to ask where the chef is from next time I'm in there...)

Decent fare 24 hours a day (I believe) at reasonable prices.

Late night eats in the East Bay

Off the top of my head, here's a few...

Daimo Chinese Restaurant
3288A Pierce Street
Richmond, CA 94804
510.527.3888

9am-3am daily

It's the freestanding building out in front of Pacific East Mall (housing 99 Ranch supermarket) off of Central Ave.

My experiences with the food have found it mediocre at best, and the service after 10pm can get downright surly, but in a pinch it's open until 3am, 7 days a week. Noodle dishes are nothing to write home about, but generally predictable. Juk (aka congee, rice porridge) is also okay. Word of advice, avoid anything with squid in it at all costs.

---

The Broiler restaurant at Casino San Pablo
13255 San Pablo Ave
San Pablo, CA 94806
510.215.7888

24 hours daily (?)

Supposedly always open, but they were closed for cleaning or something when I tried going there last Saturday night at 2am. I haven't had anything more than a Thai-style iced tea there myself yet, but they offer a diverse menu encompassing the usual American and continental favorites you'd expect, as well as a selection of Chinese, Vietnamese and (I think) Thai standards.

---

Americana Pizza & Taqueria
13350 San Pablo Ave #A4
San Pablo, CA 94806
510.412.2104

24 hours daily

Small strip-mall operation serves up fairly unremarkable pizza by the pie or slice, as well as a large menu of Mexican, Italian and American items, none of which I can speak for personally, tho' a friend says the huevos rancheros weren't bad. Horchata and Jamaica on tap, but sadly no free refills.

---

Nation's Giant Hamburgers
13296 San Pablo Ave
San Pablo, CA 94806
510.236.1511

6060 Central Ave
El Cerrito, CA 94530
510.528.8888

24 hours daily

Serves their signature burgers, breakfasts, shakes and pies 24/7 at the above listed locations, and many others stay open until midnight, 1am or later. See their website for more details...

http://www.nationsrestaurants.com/locations/index.html

---

Four Star Pizza
536 Lake Park Ave
Oakland, CA 94610
510.893.4001

Until 12 midnight daily

Cheap and greasy pizza by the slice or whole pies at this Lake Merritt hole in the wall whose wood-panelled decor hasn't been touched since at least 1972. The fine selection of Costco generic sodas (I like the black cherry!) and the ages-ago solved puzzles tacked up on the walls for decoration also lend a certain Brady Bunch rumpus room je ne sais quoi to the place.

---

Amazonas Pizza

2300 block of Telegraph, across from Pusan Plaza supermarket
Oakland, CA 94612

Usually open until at least 11pm

Huge 1/4 pie sized slices with good flavor, fresh ingredients and minimal grease. Also offers sandwiches, salads, desserts, coffee, etc.

---

New Pagolac Vietnamese restaurant
831 International Blvd
Oakland, CA 94606
510.465.0936

Open until 11pm Fridays and Saturdays, 10pm all other days

Barely makes the cut as a late-night option, only officially statying open until 11pm two nights a week, but has occasionally been known to let karaoke revellers hang out well after closing time, so if you're cutting it close you may be able to still get service at 10:45pm or so. Just don't expect to leave with your hearing intact.

Hard to go wrong ordering anything with barbecued pork in it, among the best I've ever had. Even in Vietnam. The shrimp rolls are also delectable, wonderfully crisp outside containing sweet minced shrimp within, a nice change from the usual pork-filled Imperial rolls. (not that there's anything wrong with that style, either)

Also note that they have two different menus, one consisting of single-person dishes... pho, other soups, congee, vermicelli, rice plates, etc. and then a seperate menu of specialty items more suited for family-style eating (7 courses of beef, frog, eel, lobster, etc.) which you may have to specifically request if that's what you've got a hankering for.

---

Tacos El Gordo
4200 block of International Boulevard, near High Street
Oakland, CA 94601

Clean, modern, (on-board 4 camera security system!) well-lit and quite popular taco truck which occupies the corner directly across the street from Burger King.

Not sure of the exact hours, but they don't seem to set up for business until the late afternoon or early evening, and I assume they serve to at least 2am or 'til they run out of ingredients.

All tacos are $1 each, the pollo and al pastor are my personal faves. Good horchata for $1, too. Also burritos, tortas, quesadillas, etc.

Spiciness level varies, but in general not suitable for the squeamish.

---

Rainbow Cafe
700 block of International Blvd
Oakland, CA 94606

Have yet to try it, but this recently opened Chinese restaurant appears to be open until 1am judging from a few recent drive-by surveying sessions.
