Re: San Francisco: Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar

Are most sushi places in SF closed by 10PM? Are there any sushi places closed after 10PM? Thanks! -

Re: San Francisco: Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar
Sat, January 28, 2006 - 4:32 AMThis place is open till 2am every night, because it calls itself a "bar" as well as a "restaurant". Last call for food is at 1am, last call for drinks at 1:30am.
The place is geared towards the young crowd, with a dj during the weekends, a menu full of all sorts of crazy rolls just the way Americans love it.
On the other hand, there's great Japanese bar food that is definitely worth trying, and daily specials of fresh fish. A good place if you want a nice mix of things.

Re: San Francisco: Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar
Sat, January 28, 2006 - 11:23 AMI used to go there a lot a few years ago when I worked in the area. It was fantastic... The young chefs name was Atsushi and he was as handsome as he was talented. Makiko was the waitress... They were so nice, and you could dine omakase style... I loved it. I hope they are still as great as they were then. :) -

Sat, January 28, 2006 - 11:24 AMOh and we used to go on Wednesday nights, fwiw.. when it was quieter and you could get a bit more personal attention. :) So those looking for something more low key might try that.

Re: San Francisco: Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar
Tue, February 7, 2006 - 9:03 AMI've been to Ryoko's a few times. It's good. I can't say it's great, but then again, I haven't done the omakase at the sushi bar yet. -

Re: San Francisco: Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant & Bar
Sat, June 17, 2006 - 12:41 PMI went there with my friend Kiera a month ago.
I liked it. The staff was funny!
Wish I knew about it before.
I'm not into sushi late at night
(I tend to eat it for a light lunch)
but its nice to see the option.
